Program

1. Education - training founders and angel investors 2. Community - convening angel investors in a forum 3. Research - conducting research on journeys of angel investors and founders in the early stage ecosystem
Its own explanation, from Schedule O of that return (Part III, line 2).
Milestone Growth Capital Institute ("mgci") advances its mission through education, research, and community-building programs that strengthen the early-stage entrepreneurial ecosystem. During the reporting year, the institute offered two multi-week cohort programs for emerging investors and founders, with training on critical business milestones, early stage investing, and funding options. See schedule o for additional information.mgci's data-driven research generated actionable insights to increase the plurality of ecosystem participants; this included completing one major research study in collaboration with a local university. This study included 55 in-depth interviews with entrepreneurial ecosystem stakeholders. To foster meaningful connections among angel investors, mgci hosted an angel forum, engaging nearly 100 participants. Together, these efforts build and support innovation, deepen knowledge about navigating the entrepreneurial ecosystem, and contribute to building a more collaborative entrepreneurial community.

71% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund MILESTONE GROWTH CAPITAL INSTITUTE.
“Effective funders” = inverse Herfindahl index (1 / Σ shareᵢ²) — the number of equal-sized funders that would give the same concentration.
