01What it does

What Metas does

Mission

METAS's mission is to support Spanish-speaking individuals who are blind or have low vision-as well as those around them-in the United States through training, accessible and culturally competent information, and relevant resources; and, in turn, to serve as a model for sharing the aforementioned with socially marginalized communities. METAS is a non profit organization.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990-EZ.

Programs

  1. METAS used the grant through the Borealis organization to restructure our vision, mission and byalws in a way that makes sense and is easy ot understand.

    $0 spent
  2. METAS was able to conduct various webinars during the year that focused on blindness related issues in Spanish. We had many individuals join from various locations and received positive feedback on the themes shared. We were able to reach around 300 people due to this.
