Our mission at The Messenger Animal Rescue is to five stray abandoned and abused animals a second chance in life with patience compassion and care. We love all animals and we strive to provide the best quality of care for our rescues.

Programs
On its FY2025 return the organization reported starting a significant new program.
Due to the increasing knowledge of our non-profit we have been doing more work with rescues than in previous years. We have experienced substantial growth this year and have been handling and helping more animals be rescued vetted and rehomed. On line 4a the expenses and revenues are not going to be 100% accurate because we did not record items this way. We were unaware of the detail that would be asked on the 990 form. Many of the adoption fees were lumped into donations. Also this expense was just for vet bills which does not account for the other expenses of caring for these animals within the shelter.

In 2025 our rescue took in 87 animals 76 animals were outcoming and 11 were still in the shelter. The incoming animals were strays owner surrenders transfers from other shelters or animals who were born in our care. The outcoming animals were either adopted transferred to another shelter returned to field or owner claimed. Many of these animals needed to see a vet to get spayed or neutered and have booster vaccines. We handle all the day to day care for these animals throughout the year. This year we were able to purchase a building and have it renovated as our new shelter transferring the business out of my home.
