What Meritus Medical Center Auxiliary Inc does
Mission
The mission of the meritus medical center auxiliary is to cooperate and assist in the work of meritus medical center, promote the hospital's work in the community, supplement the work of the medical staff, nursing staff, administrative staff and other hospital personnel in making the patient's stay in the hospital more comfortable and pleasant; and raising money for charitable and educational distributions and for the benefit of new hospital equipment, building projects and programs.
As stated on its FY2024 Form 990.
Program
After expenses, the excess revenue from the largest fundraising programs, with exception of the tree of lights project, is deposited into the mmc auxiliary's general fund. General fund monies are budgeted for distribution to benefit and support mmc and patient care in the following ways: sleepsack swaddle gift to each newborn, daily newspaper for each patient, one annual donation to the nursing scholarship fund, up to thirty annual scholarships for health care students, one annual donation to the meritus healthcare foundation for a mutual hospital project, and funding of capital equipment requests. The money raised by the tree of lights goes toward a special project selected by the tree of lights committee each year, usually to fund a piece of medical equipment or a patient program for mmc.

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2020, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2020, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended. The shaded band is where the middle 50% of its peers' revenue would sit, given their growth.
Balance sheet
Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2022 to 2023, from $337k to $392k (+16%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.

Who funds it, year by year
2020 → 2023: the base held at 1 funder, grant income rose $12 → $23.
1 of 1 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

Where its funders are
100% of MERITUS MEDICAL CENTER AUXILIARY INC's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.
Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $101 arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
