Program
Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) was selected by Melanated Soul Crew (MSC) because their mission fulfill MSC education pillar. Melanated Soul Crew raised $27,880 for the Thurgood Marshall College Fund for the first challenge, The Cookout, that started in April 2021. Over 700 riders came together over six weeks to raise the money while improving their fitness. The money raised will support two programs at the Thurgood Marshall College Fund, Teacher Quality and Retention Program and the TMCF Covid Relief Fund. TMCF is the nation's largest organization exclusively representing the Black College Community. TMCF member-schools include the publicly-supported Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Predominantly Black Institutions (PBIs). Publicly-supported HBCUs enroll over 80% of all students attending HBCUs. Through scholarships, capacity building and research initiatives, innovative programs, and strategic partnerships, TMCF is a vital resource in the K-12 and higher education space. The organization is also a source for top employers seeking top talent for competitive internships and good jobs.
