What Maui District Tennis Association does
Mission
Sponsorship of Adult and Junior League play, lessons, officials to maintain USTA regulations, and promotion of the sport of tennis in the County of Maui. Between one and two thousand players and countless spectators were benefited.
As stated on its FY2020 Form 990-EZ.
Program
Due to Covid, we had limited leagues and no tournaments this year. We sponsored a juniors program. More of our usual income was kept by the higher level USTA organizations, to manage their administrative expenses.
The first program described on its most recent Form 990-EZ.
The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2017, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2017, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended.
Balance sheet
Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2018 to 2019, from $54k to $60k (+11%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
Surplus & reserves
Operating surplus or deficit each year, and months of liquidity in hand. 1 of the last 4 reported years ran a deficit.
Who funds it, year by year
2017 → 2019: the base held at 1 funder, grant income fell $24k → $19k.
