Berklee in Puerto Rico '22 - After a hiatus of two years, due to COVID-19, Make Music Happen LLC (MMH) executed their cornerstone program - Berklee en PR, from Tuesday, May 31st, through June 5, 2022, at the campus of Sagrado Corazón University, in Santurce, Puerto Rico. One hundred and forty-seven students, ages 14 -20, participated in the program conducted by 12 professors from Berklee College of Music (BCM) in Boston. During the academic morning sessions, classes in arranging, composition, improvisation, sight-reading, and vocal disciplines were conducted, separating the groups by instrument and particular interest. In the afternoon, ensemble groups of their respective ability, practiced developing their performance skills. A commencement concert on Sunday, June 5, included performances of all 16 ensembles. The seminar commencement concert took place at the Plazoleta Popular, in Hato Rey. After the concert, senior officials from BCM announced the recipients of over $2.4 million dollars of financial aid to exceptional students.
