What Maine Grocers & Food Producers Association does
Mission
We are a community dedicated to the prosperity of maine's grocery and food producer industry through excellence in advocacy, networking and education.
As stated on its FY2024 Form 990.
Program
In 2024, mgfpa fulfilled our mission by providing full-time lobbying during the legislative session and year-round policy work as it relates to rule- making and stakeholder discussions. We convened sub-committees and sought input from members to provide relevant testimony and feedback for policy creation. Mgfpa provided weekly legislative updates and member communications throughout the year to keep members apprised of industry news, grant opportunities, and events. We provided multiple educational webinars which included timely and critical information for businesses to remain legally compliant as well as industry experts. Mgfpa coordinated our annual spring legislative 'day under the dome' for networking with the legislature; golf tournament and summit event. Our events drew a strong cross-sector of our membership and offered professional development and networking opportunities.

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2017, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2017, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended. The shaded band is where the middle 50% of its peers' revenue would sit, given their growth.
Balance sheet
Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2023 to 2024, from $133k to $167k (+26%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
