Mission

To inspire and educate communities by celebrating women's creativity in the arts through public performances, exhibitions, and collaborations.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990-EZ.

Program

  1. Lunart seeks to support, inspire, promote, and celebrate all women in the arts through public performances, exhibitions, workshops, and interdisciplinary collaboration, thus enriching our community and creating a welcoming space for learning and experimentation. In true lunart spirit, we exposed audiences to high-caliber local, national, and international artists. This year, we presented:1. Two chamber music gala concerts featuring over 17 new chamber music works, with 5 world and us premieres.2. A panel discussion, "her legacy, our voice", examining the current landscape for women artists and discussing how we can collectively uplift and celebrate their contributions. Through meaningful conversation, we aim to inspire action and empower artists to carry forward the voices of those who came before us (free of charge).3. A chamber music concert featuring works by six lunart composers' hub participants (free of charge). Featuring seven brand new chamber music and solo pieces. This program attracted the largest number of international artists to date. This program was led by dr. Each line starts at 100 in 2023, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2023, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended. The shaded band is where the middle 50% of its peers' revenue would sit, given their growth.

03Who funds it

Who funds it, year by year

2022 → 2023: the base narrowed from 3 funders to 2 funders, grant income fell $7k → $523.

1 of 5 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 0% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of LUNART INC’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

How concentrated its funding is

LUNART INC leans on a few funders — its largest provides 61% of grant income and the top three 97%; half comes from just 1 funder.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $37 arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
