01What it does

What Lumenations does

Mission

Lumenations is a Christian religious organization. We help churches, Christian missionary organizations, Christian educational organizations here in the U.S. and Internationally by developing media-based training resources for their use. We are particularly focused on helping Disciple-making and Evangelism through International Missionaries for Christ and other organizations in East Africa - namely, Uganda and Kenya. We also seek to use media to gather stories of what disciple-makers are doing around the world and use those stories within our media resources. We help organizations and churches with discipleship training and other outreach ministry. We do all of this free of charge for those we serve.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990-EZ.

Programs

  1. We have continued to be involved in missions, training and mobilization efforts globally. This has included some travel but not as much as in previous years due to the fact that the Shackelfords are now involved in local church work full-time in the states.

    $8,248 spent
    62% of program spending
  2. With the Shackelford family now back in the U.S. (having moved from North Africa), Lumenations has now turned its focus almost exclusively upon the work we are connected with in East Africa. We call it "L.E.A.F." - the "Lumenations East Africa Fund". We are continuing to support this evangelistic and disciple-making effort in East Africa (primarily in Kenya and Uganda) through the International Missionaries for Christ group of evangelists and other organizations. Ken first connected with this group during a trip to Uganda in 2019 and John Paul Wornock (our board chair) two years before that. Eric Booth is leading Lumenations in this effort. The evangelists and disciple-makers have seen literally thousands of people come to Christ and begin their life journey with Jesus. Our involvement with this will grow in future years as we see our time in North Africa coming to an end.

Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
