Mission
The louise d. And morton j. Macks jewish connection network (the network) is the leading engagement focused agency in the baltimore jewish community. Our mission is to empower and support individuals to explore their own jewish journeys, inspiring them to form lasting connections to a diverse, inclusive and vibrant baltimore jewish community. We seek to identify, develop relationships with, and deepen the jewish connections of people who are not currently engaged in jewish life. We accomplish this by curating exciting jewish experiences, facilitating peer-to-peer connections, and sharing resources for individuals of different abilities, identities, and life stages. The network engages jewish adults at all stages from their twenties through their active senior years. According to the most recent jewish population study, there are nearly 40,000 under-engaged or un-engaged jews in greater baltimore. We are currently engaging over 5,000 people and seek to expand our reach and our impact.

Through the community connectors program, the network identifies, recruits, trains and supports a cohort of 45 grassroots community engagers. These connectors meet with currently unengaged community members 1:1, helping them develop new friendships, explore jewish practices, and confidently navigate baltimore's jewish community infrastructure. In fy25, connectors worked with 1086 community members.

The signature community service offering is a series of days in december when community members pack and deliver 2,500 winter care packages for people who are housing insecure in baltimore. 969 people attended community service opportunities through the network in fy25.
