01What it does

What Long Island Baroque Ensemble Inc does

Mission

Program, schedule, and perform Early and Baroque Music for under served Long Island and adjacent communities employing world class musicians on original instruments.

As stated on its FY2026 Form 990.

Programs

  1. Audience participation shows lingering effects of the Pandemic. This year we continued our regularly scheduled programming. We created a lot of new programming to Greenport New York. A new venue in Suffolk, St. James Church Church in St James was added. Two new contracts were obtained which increased our audience. We estimate that audiences have grown post pandemic and with our new ventures. Average attendance is about one hundred for each performance. Some contracts and other venues on a donation only basis reduced our total take, even with increased audiences. The new venue in Greenport: NFAC was sold out during the XMas show.

Each line starts at 100 in 2017, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2017, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended. The shaded band is where the middle 50% of its peers' revenue would sit, given their growth.
