01What it does

What Logan Academy and Learning Center does

Mission

Logan Academy and Learning Center empowers at-risk youth to live successful and productive lives through our Stepping to Success Out-of-School Time Program. We provide afterschool and Summer academic support and enrichment activities to help youth (1) master skills and knowledge in English/Language Arts, Math, and Science; (2) develop character-building traits (respect, confidence, persistence, self-esteem, discipline, and cooperation) and resilience to help identify, cope and overcome life challenges which could impede their academic performance and personal goals. We provide job training and opportunities for youth.

As stated on its FY2022 Form 990-EZ.

Program

  1. The Summer Enrichment Program was held on July 5 to July 24, 2022. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our enrollment decreased by approximately 31%. We had two of the three classes typically held, focusing on Prek through fourth grade. However, due to limited staff, the SEP was forced to end two weeks early.

1 of 1 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of LOGAN ACADEMY AND LEARNING CENTER’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

Where its funders are

100% of LOGAN ACADEMY AND LEARNING CENTER's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $31 arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
