Program
Literacy for Freedom has been able to support 20+ Black males in grades 5-12 across the Twin Cities in it's early stages. Received first grant from the State of Minnesota through a college access program in May of 2022. Multiple partnerships with local school districts in the Minneapolis area. Collaboration with higher education on creating more pathways for young Black males. Hosted a Black Male Summit that had over 70 Black boys attend, as well as multiple school districts. Star Tribune did a feature on Literacy for Freedom and the founder, Keenan Jones.
