What Lewis County Sheriffs Office Association does
Mission
The LCSOA is an employee and community funded 501(c)(3) that supports community charities, events and programs. We also support our active members in many ways, such as hosting Easter and Christmas parties, giving baby, wedding and retirement gifts, sending gifts to members in the hospital and purchasing flowers for appropriate occasions such as immediate family deaths. The LCSOA also funds our K9 Fund, Shop with a Cop and Youth Scholarships. LCSOA is involved with various projects in our community that we donate to, participate in and support either by monetary contribution or volunteer time from our members.
As stated on its FY2024 Form 990-EZ.
Programs
With the help of donations received from the Lewis County community, we were able to purchase and pay for training for a canine to be used for the Lewis County Sheriff's Office K-9 unit. Trained K-9 (canine) Officers, along with their Law Enforcement handlers greatly enhance law enforcement capabilities in various ways, including drug detection, explosive detection, tracking and recovering missing persons and the apprehension of suspects. Having a K-9 (canine) Officer and their Handler allows the Lewis County Sheriff's Office to create a safer community for the 86,150 people that call Lewis County, Washington home.

This is achieved by providing the funds necessary to purchase the gifts, as well as the Association Members donating their personal time to take the children shopping, wrap the children's gifts for them and hosting a pizza party afterwards with games of Bingo and prizes.

Who funds it, year by year
Grant support over time, funder by funder — shade shows the grant size each year.
1 of 1 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.
From the IRS filings of LEWIS COUNTY SHERIFFS OFFICE ASSOCIATION’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
Where its funders are
100% of LEWIS COUNTY SHERIFFS OFFICE ASSOCIATION's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.
Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $3k arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
