01What it does

What Las Vegas Public Radio Inc does

Mission

Restoring and resetting our Travel & Tourism station on KIOF 90.1 FM at 48,000 Watts in 2024. This restoration and going back to the organization's roots prior to COVID-19 using what worked with KIOF-LP 97.9 FM in the market as a jobs creator in southern Nevada is the key during this restoration from transitions of KIOF-LP 97.9 FM/KVGK-LP 97.9 FM and KQQY 90.1 FM/KJPT 90.1 FM at FCC Facility ID 190166 in North Las Vegas, Nevada continuing as of December 31, 2023.

As stated on its FY2023 Form 990.

Program

On its FY2023 return the organization reported starting a significant new program.

The State of Nevada Department of Education "silenced and blocked" thousands upon thousands of southern Nevada residents with access to the airwaves on KIOF-LP 97.9 FM since October 2022 (and millions of tri-state potential listeners with access to the airwaves on the transition stations of KVGK-LP 97.9 FM and KJPT 90.1 FM by the end of 2023, also both non-commercial FM radio stations and the reasoning behind LVPR's TAPCU project). The organization went back to get it's $95,200 Emergency Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) funds our deceased Vice President had assisted with on returning to the U.S. Small Business Administration in June 2020 in good faith because that's what U.S. Navy (Honnorably Discharged) Veterans do if they were believing regulatory changes were coming down the pike that would not lead to government tax payer dependency to operate. Those funds were found to be also needed due to the massive loss of clients to keep KIOF-LP 97.9 FM on the air and serving the Las Vegas, Nevada valley with Emergency Alert System (EAS) services but were also denied by the U.S. Small Business Administration in October 2022. Numerous Congressional inquiries into these matters were opened by Las Vegas Public Radio in 2023 which included our organization's tax returns being submitted to the 118th Congress for use in the Weaponization of Government Committee. The organization also notified Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo on July 12, 2023 with some solutions as well as a meeting with Nevada…

Its own explanation, from Schedule O of that return (Part III, line 2).

  1. Re-defining public radio by taking KIOF-LP 97.9 FM off the air on September 4, 2022 and placing it into a Temporary Application for Provisional Commercial Uses TAPCU project at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) starting on December 15, 2022 shortly after the Las Vegas Public Radio Vice President passed away, a wrongful death that many suspect over KIOF-LP 97.9 FM. This is due to a failed regulatory system that works for select organizations built on layers of socialism and communism since 1967 identified on American soil as seen on Pages 201 and 202 of the Telecommunications Act of 1934 in the following section: SEC. 393. 47 U.S.C. 393 CRITERIA FOR APPROVAL AND EXPENDITURES BY SECRETARY OF COMMERCE. c Of the sums appropriated pursuant to section 391 for any fiscal year, a substantial amount shall be available for the expansion and development of noncommercial radio broadcast station facilities. On May 12, 2023, the FCC issued the nation's very first Low Power FM commercial license/permit under KVGK-LP 97.9 FM at FCC Facility ID 190166 by apparently waivering and overriding several federal statutes and federal laws dating back to 1934 using KVGK-LP 97.9 FM as a model…

03Who funds it

Who funds it, year by year

2017 → 2023: the base held at 1 funder, grant income fell $2k → $16.

1 of 2 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 1% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

Where its funders are

100% of Las Vegas Public Radio Inc's grant income comes from Nevada funders.

NV

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $16 arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been.
