What Laramie Child Development Corp does
Mission
The mission of Laramie Child Development Corporation/laramie head start is to prepare children for success in school and socety. Valuing the voices of families, children and staff, we work together, through caring and concern for children, to reach each family's goals.
As stated on its FY2025 Form 990.
Program
Head start program for economically disadvantaged pre-school children - we serve 77 children and their families. This program runs 4 days per week for the school year.we hold over 20 family events per year. At these events a dinner is served and an activity takes place. For example, every year we have a cinco de mayo celebration where we serve the families a meal and distribute free books to all children of the families under the age of 18. A newsletter is distributed each month, making the families aware of what activities are occuring in head start as well as in the outside community. We try to inform them of resources outside of the program that would be a benefit to them. The objective of the head start program is to prepare low-income children for success in society. We offer preschool to these children free of charge. With the consent of families, we provide a range of screenings, including developmental, physicals, adn dental. If screening results of a child's developemtal status indicates that the child may have the delays developmentally, we refer the child to the developmental preschool and daycare for further assessment after parents provide consent.

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2017, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2017, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended. The shaded band is where the middle 50% of its peers' revenue would sit, given their growth.
Balance sheet
Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2021 to 2022, from $144k to $256k (+78%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
Government-grant reliance: 2017 78% · 2018 79% · 2019 85% · 2020 79% · 2021 95% · 2022 94% · 2023 92% · 2024 97% · 2025 84%. Grants only. Government contracts and fees sit inside program revenue.

Who funds it, year by year
2021 → 2023: the base held at 1 funder, grant income fell $22 → $16.
1 of 1 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.
From the IRS filings of LARAMIE CHILD DEVELOPMENT CORP’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
Where its funders are
100% of LARAMIE CHILD DEVELOPMENT CORP's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.
Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $43 arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
