01What it does

What Knowledge Center on Deafness Inc does

Mission

Knowledge Center on Deafness KCD supports a program held every other year called DeaFestival. This is a free festival to educate the community on the talents of deaf and hard of hearing performers and visual artists and give them a safe place to perform and show their work that is totally accessible. The participants are role models for deaf and hard of hearing children, teaching them that they CAN DO anything but hear. It also educates the entities that work with this group, and the parents of those children, teaching the hearing community that anything is possible. On non-festival years we may do recruiting or seek sponsorship funds for the next festival. We also do small workshops to promote the success of deaf and hard of hearing children in the educational settings throughout the state.

As stated on its FY2022 Form 990-EZ.
