01What it does

What Kindful Restoration does

Mission

At Kindful Restoration our goal is to bring hope to every adult in custody by teaching them how to embrace a mindset of kindness towards themselves and others. As they learn pro-social behaviors; their desires, words, thoughts, and actions will change and they will become individuals who lift, serve, and encourage others.

As stated on its FY2024 Form 990.

Programs

  1. This 5-part recovery course is designed to help you develop insight into your past and make a successful transition after your release. It focuses on helping you develop insights into the flawed belief system, character traits, and lifestyle addictions that contributed to your being incarcerated. It includes written exercises that explore the impact of traumas you experienced in your life and how to address them. These exercises help you develop insight into how important kindness, empathy, and healing are to your recovery and to adopting a new way of living.

Correctional institutions prohibit the use of unauthorized electronics including: cell phones, smart watches, and devices containing banned content. Participants will explore the importance of safety and security within institutional settings and will address their behaviors and beliefs by challenging criminal thinking and attitudes. The electronic contraband course is available by correspondence and can be facilitated by a peer mentor leader. This program is also available in spanish.

100% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund KINDFUL RESTORATION.
