What Juneberry Ridge Educational Foundation does
Mission
Juneberry Ridge Educational Foundations mission is the development and operation of a program providing a living classroom farm experience. The program provides hands on training to students with interest in entering the farming profession, and those currently in the profession, by teaching regenerative farming practices. Our programs are designed to recreate the experience of working on a regenerative farm. These programs are intended for serious learners. We offer intensive courses, internships and educational tours. We teach agricultural students, current farmers, and potential future farmers on the benefits and practices of regenerative agriculture, including water management practices.
As stated on its FY2025 Form 990.
Program
On its FY2024 return the organization reported starting a significant new program.
Apprenticeship. The apprenticeship program consists of 3 apprentice tracks and ranges in program length of 12 to 24 months. Apprentices work full-time for the duration of the program while also completing related course instruction at the local community college. This program we host in partnership with the NC Community College system and NC Apprenticeship. We had two students participate in a pre-apprenticeship program and two students who graduated early in December enroll in the apprenticeship program. The goal of this program is to provide students with meaningful work experience on a regenerative farm and help bridge the gap between high school and employment for students with an interest in agriculture. Internships. The education foundation established two internship programs: one for high school students and one for college students. The high school internship is a semester long, 16-week program where students work in one area of the living classroom for 10 hours per week. We had four students from Stanly County participate in the internship program and earn high school course credit for completing the program. This program is geared toward students who are interested in…

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2023, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2023, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended. The shaded band is where the middle 50% of its peers' revenue would sit, given their growth.
Balance sheet
Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2023 to 2024, from $84k to $902k (+978%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
Government-grant reliance: 2023 94% · 2024 89% · 2025 90%. Grants only. Government contracts and fees sit inside program revenue.
92% of Juneberry Ridge Educational Foundation’s revenue is contributions — about as donation-reliant as the typical peer (94% for the typical peer).

Who funds it, year by year
Grant support over time, funder by funder — shade shows the grant size each year.
1 of 1 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.
From the IRS filings of Juneberry Ridge Educational Foundation’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
Where its funders are
100% of Juneberry Ridge Educational Foundation's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.
Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $20k arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
