What John and Matthew Gaudreau Foundation does
Mission
The John and Matthew Gaudreau Foundation honors the enduring legacy of John and Matthew by supporting projects and initiatives that align with the values and passions that they championed during their lives. At the heart of our mission is a commitment to helping youth hockey initiatives, supporting hockey families that have faced tragedy and helping other families that have been affected by drunk driving, like ours.
As stated on its FY2025 Form 990.
Program
The primary activity of The John and Matthew Gaudreau Foundation is to provide grant funding to projects and organizations including, but not limited to, those related to public awareness about the serious and devastating impacts of driving while intoxicated and supporting opportunities that promote ice hockey in the community. The Board of Directors, and other volunteer committee members, are responsible for reviewing grant applications and determining funding amounts. All activities of the Foundation will be funded through fundraising events and donations.

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2024, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2024, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended.
Balance sheet
Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2024 to 2025, from $18k to $724k (+3937%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
Surplus & reserves
Operating surplus or deficit each year, and months of liquidity in hand. 0 of the last 2 reported years ran a deficit.
