Throughout 2025, we worked to refine our brand narrative, gaining clarity on our foundational story (why we exist and what we do), our target audiences and customer segments (who were talking to), and key messages (what we want to say, and how we say it).January 2025 we presented a workshop at the UERU 2025 National Conference titled, Strengthening Mental Health Outcomes for All: A Review of Asset Based, Blended Coaching Programs Supporting Faculty and Student Development (Leads: Gaby Jordan, Angela Evans, Naomi Lane)March 2024 we launched our inaugural Human Better EDU Coach Training Program with a cohort of 3 coaches training to both deliver HBE programming and work in individual coaching. In April 2025 we launched our second cohort of the Human Better EDU Coach Training Program with 2 coaches training. This expanded our programming from our March 2204 inaugural cohort of 3 coaches. 03Who funds it

Who funds it, year by year

Grant support over time, funder by funder — shade shows the grant size each year.

3 of 3 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of Human Better EDU’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

How concentrated its funding is

Human Better EDU leans on a few funders — its largest provides 63% of grant income and the top three 100%; half comes from just 1 funder.

the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 1 funder to its left

100% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund Human Better EDU.

“Effective funders” = inverse Herfindahl index (1 / Σ shareᵢ²) — the number of equal-sized funders that would give the same concentration. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

Where its funders are

100% of Human Better EDU's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $95k arriving through sponsors registered in 3 states is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
