01What it does

What Hopkinton Public Library Foundation of Hopkinton Nh does

Mission

The hopkinton library foundation is a non-profit organization that was formed to help further and improve the public library in our town. Because of many generous gifts, memorial contributions and bequests over the years, the foundation provided funding for several library studies, architectural plans and publicity for the building project that produced the library we are proud to have today. The foundation continues to enhance the library and the community by funding adult and children's programs, contributing to the fiction, nonfiction, audio and video collections and contributing to the library's technology upgrades. It funds the library newsletter and partially underwrites the hopkinton reads program. Income from the foundation's investments are used to provide these benefits to the library beyond the normal operating budget.

As stated on its FY2024 Form 990.

1 of 1 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of HOPKINTON PUBLIC LIBRARY FOUNDATION OF HOPKINTON NH’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

Where its funders are

100% of HOPKINTON PUBLIC LIBRARY FOUNDATION OF HOPKINTON NH's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $20k arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
