What Homegrown Pathways Inc does
Mission
Homegrown pathways was founded on the western slope of colorado with a mission to drive economic mobility through quality, regional career pathways for rural youth, including entrepreneurial pathways. We believe the answer to the challenges of both individual economic mobility and colorado business success resides in connecting and supporting homegrown talent into regional career and entrepreneurship pathways.
As stated on its FY2025 Form 990.
Programs
General programs - the organization was launched via a federally funded planning process through three state-approved, americorps planning grants (serve colorado), in partnership with 9 school districts, 6 higher education institutions, and the largest workforce center on the western slope. In 2024, this planning process led to the design and successful pilot of a new youth pre-accelerator model called spark lab. Through spark lab, homegrown pathways is focused on serving rural youth, age 15-19. The intended outcome is a future workforce of empowered individuals that have the self-efficacy, social capital, and entrepreneurial spirit to achieve economic mobility. Spark lab uniquely brings together a set of experiences, relationships and skills development that is entirely grounded in the ideas of the individual. This positions the model as a powerful and uncommon tool for individual purpose exploration, entrepreneurial mindset cultivation, and durable skills development.

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2024, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2024, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended. The shaded band is where the middle 50% of its peers' revenue would sit, given their growth.
Balance sheet
Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2024 to 2025, from $31k to $245k (+693%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
100% of HOMEGROWN PATHWAYS INC’s revenue is contributions — more reliant on donations than three-quarters of its peers (57% for the typical peer).

Who funds it, year by year
Grant support over time, funder by funder — shade shows the grant size each year.
1 of 1 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.
From the IRS filings of HOMEGROWN PATHWAYS INC’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
Where its funders are
100% of HOMEGROWN PATHWAYS INC's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.
Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $85k arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
