What Homebridge Ventures Inc does
Mission
Homebridge ventures (homebridge) seeks to break the cycle of recidivism through transformative relationships,trauma-responsive job training and placement, and a supportive community for justice-involved people that leads to the opportunity to heal and to obtain gainful employment.
As stated on its FY2024 Form 990.
Programs
Second chance re-entry services: the goal of the program is for homebridge to provide an outside resource for a second-chance employer, and to work with each of the employers previously encarcerated employees both individually and as a group, and to provide the wrap-around services that will move employees from hanging on to thriving. The impact on the business and employees in 2024 was dramatic. In 2023, two employees per month were dropping out of employment. The business impact was the cost of constantly hiring and retraining employees. The impact on the employees that left was worse, as many often returned to incarceration when they lost their source of income. Our program dropped the turnover to two per year instead of two per month. The program kept these employees out of prison and in their jobs.

Additionally, it prepares members for employment through workforce-development training, financial literacy, and soft-skills support. In 2024, over 350 individuals accessed homebridge services: 56 individuals earned employment- related certifications; 36 received educational certifications; 20 secured employment. Homebridge facilitates 15 weekly groups focused on trauma, relationships, and job readiness, covering essential topics like mens and womens empowerment, resilience, goal setting, music, art, writing, practice interviews, workplace etiquette, and financial literacy.

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2022, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2022, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended. The shaded band is where the middle 50% of its peers' revenue would sit, given their growth.
Balance sheet
Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2022 to 2023, from $102k to $110k (+8%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
84% of HOMEBRIDGE VENTURES INC’s revenue is contributions — about as donation-reliant as the typical peer (91% for the typical peer).

Who funds it, year by year
2022 → 2023: the base held at 4 funders, grant income fell $94k → $75k.
4 of 10 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 49% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.
From the IRS filings of HOMEBRIDGE VENTURES INC’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
How concentrated its funding is
HOMEBRIDGE VENTURES INC leans on a few funders — its largest provides 30% of grant income and the top three 74%; half comes from just 2 funders.
the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 2 funders to its left
66% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund HOMEBRIDGE VENTURES INC.
Largest funder’s share by year: 2022 64% · 2023 66% — growing more concentrated.
“Effective funders” = inverse Herfindahl index (1 / Σ shareᵢ²) — the number of equal-sized funders that would give the same concentration. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
Where its funders are
100% of HOMEBRIDGE VENTURES INC's grant income comes from Connecticut funders.
In-state vs out-of-state, by year
Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $202k arriving through sponsors registered in 4 states is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
