01What it does

What Hebbronville Volunteer Fire Department does

Mission

The primary purpose of the organization is provide fire protection and emergency services to the community of Hebbronville and Jim Hogg County.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990-EZ.

Programs

  1. The Hebbronville Volunteer Fire Department was established in 1930 and provides fire protection to the Community of Hebbronville and County of Jim Hogg which total 4800 plus citizens. This year of 2024 has been the best for donations as many ranchers have benefited from the service provided by the department. Brush fires burn many acres and buildings and our firefighters are always ready to respond. The expense that these services provide is immense when lives are at stake. Fire fighters put their lives on the line everytime they respond to a fire.

  2. The Hebbronville Volunteer Fire Department also provides educational visits to the Jim Hogg County ISD. By visiting Elementary School children our Fire Department educates and inspire children to be vigilant around their homes. They are taught the dangers of fire. A tour of the fire truck and handouts of pamphlets showing what to do in the event of fire and finally fire department hats for the kiddos.

Each line starts at 100 in 2024, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2024, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended. The shaded band is where the middle 50% of its peers' revenue would sit, given their growth.
