01What it does

What Healthcare Workforce Coalition does

Mission

Healthcare Workforce Coalition (hwc) brings together a diverse group of healthcare stakeholders across disciplines and the healthcare continuum to advocate collectively for a strong, robust, and resilient health care workforce.

As stated on its FY2024 Form 990.

Program

  1. Hwc successfully advocated for new legislation and regulations that provide protections, benefits, and improved working conditions for healthcare workers. Hwc endorsed three critical bills: the healthcare workforce resilience act, which aims to address the u.s. Healthcare workforce crisis by providing unused immigrant visas for nurses and physicians, allowing qualified foreign healthcare professionals to work in the u.s. Permanently; the safety from violence for healthcare employees act, which aims to protect hospital employees from violence and intimidation in their workplace; and the reauthorization of the lorna breen act, which would increase funding of mental health training, peer support, and crisis intervention programs.

Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
