01What it does

What Grupo Cajola in North America a Nj Nonprofit Corporation does

Mission

Grupo Cajolá in North America's primary mission is to support Asociación Grupo Cajolá in Cajolá (AGCC) a non profit association in Cajolá, Guatemala (Quetzaltenango). AGCC was organized to promote education and economic development in the community of Cajolá, with the goal of eliminating the need for forced migration. Their programs include a scholarship program, preschool, and learning center, along with skills training for two independent businesses.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990.

Programs

  1. Grupo Cajolá in North America financially supports the programs of Grupo Cajolá in Guatemala. The largest program is their preschool. In 2025 the school provided Reggio Emilia based experiential learning to 33 children. There are 4 teachers, a documentalist, a cook and her helper. When the children reach public school their preparation is highly regarded by the public school teachers. Serving a healthy snack and nutritious lunch along with vitamins and nutritional counseling for the parents helps combat Cajola's 55% child malnutrition statistic. The school is providing employment to those 7 people, an accomplishment in this primarily agricultural but poverty stricken community.

1 of 1 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of GRUPO CAJOLA IN NORTH AMERICA A NJ NONPROFIT CORPORATION’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

Where its funders are

100% of GRUPO CAJOLA IN NORTH AMERICA A NJ NONPROFIT CORPORATION's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $29 arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
