Programs
Grundy ems provides treatment & transport for all emergency and non-emergency calls, regardless of ability to pay. During fy2025, gems answered 3,980 calls for assistance. Grundy ems operates in grundy county & the mountain areas of franklin county (franklin county is operated from a separate facility in sewanee, tn). They also have contractual agreements to provide service for the mountainous portion of I-24 in marion county and to provide back-up emergency ambulatory coverage to much of franklin and marion counties. Gems provides health cares services to patients that walk into the station. They provide remote rescue and medical treatment (4x4) and remote medical treatment in area state parks.
