Growing love community garden of manorha mission is connecting our diverse community to healthy food, nature and each other.our vision is to build a resilient community where neighbors grow, share and eat their own food. We aim to empower individuals, create a support network and promote healthy gardening practices that improve the environment and the continued beautification and restoration of public lands.

Program
Since opening doors in 2018, the community garden has served 140 families and over 5,000 community members in port washington. The garden features 46 individual plots, including one large vertical plot dedicated to food grown for the community and food pantry, and a teaching plot focused on educational gardening. Surrounding these areas, the entire peripheral garden is designed for food production while also nourishing and stabilizing the soil. This design encourages pollinators-such as bees, birds, butterflies, and beneficial insects-which enhances the vegetable yield in each plot.
