To foster the auburn spirit and make possible firsthand contact with auburn university and its alumni throughout jefferson county, alabama, the state of alabama, the nation, and the world; to provide the means whereby all auburn alumni and the friends of auburn in the geographic area of jefferson county, alabama may join together to further the "auburn spirit; to support the activities of auburn university towards the acheivement of its educational goals; to establish and promote goals and activities which strengthen the ties between the alumnus, the corporation, the community, and auburn university; to encourage support of athletic programs of auburn university; and to encourage support by alumni and friends of auburn for the auburn alumni association to perpetuate the traditions, purposes, growth, and progress of auburn university.
