Program
The foundation supports the provision of outdoor emergency care by members of the volunteer great divide ski patrol by providing a facility for the provision of those services and training related to those services. The new building provides space for treating 4-6 separate injured people at the same time, same level ambulance access and ski in toboggan access, plumbing for a bathroom and sink. The training room accommodates the patrollers on a shift and can hold an adequate number of patrollers for initial and annual training as needed. Storage for equipment the patrol uses is included, and bathroom and a small kitchen for use of the patrol as well. The foundation also provides a means to raise funds and ownership of medical equipment, tools and supplies to be used by the patrol members in providing outdoor emergency care services.
