01What it does

What Grambling University National Alumni Association does

Mission

The organization's primary purpose is to provide financial assistance for Grambling State University through scholarships and active high school recruitment.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990-EZ.

Program

  1. This purpose was achieved during this year by providing scholarships to zero (0) students, Book Grants to zero (0) students and Hardship Scholarships to zero (0) students who were attending Grambling State University or who were High School Seniors who were to attend Grambling upon graduation. For a list of the students who received these awards, see the information provided under Part I, Line 10. The organization determines who will receive scholarships by 1: Seniors complete a scholarship application; 2: upon review of the scholarship applications, the students go through an intense interview; 3: upon completion of these two requirements, a panel of Alumni members select students to receive the scholarship. Students who have already been granted scholarship and are attending the GSU will continue to receive their scholarship until they graduate, if they maintain a certain GPA the previous semester or if the Dallas Chapter has sufficient funds to offer the financial aid.

1 of 1 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of GRAMBLING UNIVERSITY NATIONAL ALUMNI ASSOCIATION’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

Where its funders are

100% of GRAMBLING UNIVERSITY NATIONAL ALUMNI ASSOCIATION's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $249 arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
