Program

  1. Gods Helping Hands is a community charity doing benevolent work. Its mission is to assist people temporary or emergency needs. The board of directors/executive committee meets monthly to review reports of income and out-flowing donations of food, clothing and income/expenses. These donations are administered by approximately sixty-five volunteers working on a rotating basis during the week and on weekends. Program services are administered to individuals and families on a selective basis according to need. They consist primarily of food and hygiene items, clothing and other assistance for gasoline, utilities and pharmacy bills, etc. Such services are not usually intended to be rendered on frequent or repetitive bases, but are structured to assist in temporary financial crisis situations. Clients generally are limited as to how many times they may receive services during a week or year. Gods Helping Hands also provides assistance through grants and other support to other charitable programs whose mission is similar to our own, and whose efforts supplement and/or expand the reach of our program. A soup kitchen program is also in place, providing a hot meal to clients in need once…

1 of 2 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of GODS HELPING HANDS’s funders (the co-funder graph). Top 1 of 2 funders by total. Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

Where its funders are

100% of GODS HELPING HANDS's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $311 arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
