01What it does

What Go Run Missoula does

Mission

Go Run Missoula cultivates leadership skills and fosters an appreciation for physical activity in female and non-binary youth in western montana through running and education

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990.

Program

  1. Go Run Missoula (grm) offers non-competitive running and leadership development programs for youth, with a specific focus on girls and non-binary youth, in grades 38 across western montana. Through three seasonal after-school sessions each year, participants engage in trail and road running, running games, strength and conditioning, yoga and mindfulness, and structured life-skills and leadership workshops. Grms curriculum is designed to build confidence, resilience, healthy habits, and strong peer/mentor connections by prioritizing social-emotional growth, self-awareness, self-management, and positive youth development over competition and winning. Grm expands access by offering scholarships and partnering with local schools and community organizations to reduce financial barriers for families. Grm also mobilizes trained volunteers and seasonal coaches to deliver programming at multiple sites, creating safe, empowering spaces where youth can strengthen physical fitness, practice leadership, and develop lasting community support networks.
