What Gevura Fund does

Mission

The Gevura Fund (the fund) is a nonprofit organization committed to combating religious discrimination in the united states through research, education, advocacy, and legal action. In response to the rising tide of antisemitic incidents, the fund works to challenge discrimination in schools, universities, workplaces, and unions. Through public education, strategic litigation, policy reform, and targeted grantmaking, we empower communities, inform decision-makers, and support the development of a more just and inclusive society.

As stated on its FY2024 Form 990.

Program

  1. In its inaugural year, the fund ran trainings for employers, including a key session in collaboration with the eeoc, initiated multiple legal cases to protect individuals' religious freedom, and facilitated connections among advocacy partners. It also conducted a national survey that shed light on perceptions of workplace discrimination, helping to inform future policy and educational efforts.
