Mission
The SOS Extraordinary Woman Foundation was created in 2021 with the purpose of supporting women victims of violence and young pregnant Latinas in the United States and the Dominican Republic. Over time, we have expanded our focus to include all vulnerable women, offering education, support, and empowerment. Our work is not limited to these countries but seeks to expand to other communities and contexts where our actions can have a positive impact, adapting to the specific needs of each location. The SOS Extraordinary Woman Foundation's fundamental objective is education, as we firmly believe that only through education can we promote the development and empowerment of vulnerable women, generating new opportunities for them. We work to improve the quality of life, the common good, and social, cultural, and recreational services for women in vulnerable situations, including women victims of violence, pregnant women, and single mothers.
As stated on its FY2024 Form 990.
Programs
In 2024, the SOS Extraordinary Woman Foundation implemented a program focused on women's entrepreneurship and well-being, with the goal of empowering participants by developing business skills and comprehensively caring for their physical and mental health. This program was structured into two key components: Entrepreneurship Training: Through workshops and mentoring, participants learned to identify business opportunities, create and manage sustainable businesses, and develop digital marketing strategies. Experts in the field of entrepreneurship guided the women in creating business plans, managing financial resources, and overcoming common barriers in the business world. Comprehensive Well-being: In addition to the technical aspects of entrepreneurship, a focus was included on personal well-being. The modules offered tools to manage stress, improve self-esteem, and promote healthy habits. Mindfulness, nutrition, and mental health sessions were held to help participants balance their business responsibilities with their emotional and physical well-being. This program not only provided practical knowledge but also a safe space for women to connect, share experiences, and support…

Empowerment and Leadership Workshops: At each event, interactive workshops were held on leadership, self-awareness, and how to overcome everyday challenges. The women learned tools to strengthen their self-esteem and make decisions that would allow them to achieve their personal and professional goals. Psychological Support and Well-being Sessions: With the aim of addressing the emotional needs of the participants, individual and group psychological support sessions were offered. These sessions helped the women manage stress, anxiety, and other emotional challenges, promoting their overall well-being. Integration Activities and Support Network: In addition to the workshops, the events included integration activities where women could share their stories, build supportive relationships, and create solidarity networks. The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2022, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2022, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended. The shaded band is where the middle 50% of its peers' revenue would sit, given their growth.
Balance sheet
Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars.
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
100% of FUNDACION SOS MUJER EXTRAORDINARIA CORP’s revenue is contributions — more reliant on donations than three-quarters of its peers (62% for the typical peer).
Surplus & reserves
Operating surplus or deficit each year, and months of liquidity in hand. 0 of the last 3 reported years ran a deficit.
Leadership and staff
The officers, directors, trustees and key employees listed on each return. Joined and no longer listed compare each filing with the year before, matching people by surname and first initial; a year after a gap, or a roster under three people, has no comparison.
Who funds it, year by year
Grant support over time, funder by funder — shade shows the grant size each year.
2 of 2 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
How concentrated its funding is
FUNDACION SOS MUJER EXTRAORDINARIA CORP leans on a few funders — its largest provides 100% of grant income and the top three 100%; half comes from just 1 funder.
the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 1 funder to its left
100% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund FUNDACION SOS MUJER EXTRAORDINARIA CORP.
“Effective funders” = inverse Herfindahl index (1 / Σ shareᵢ²) — the number of equal-sized funders that would give the same concentration. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
Where its funders are
100% of FUNDACION SOS MUJER EXTRAORDINARIA CORP's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.
Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $305k arriving through sponsors registered in 2 states is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
