01What it does

What Friends of San Jacinto Mountain County Parks does

Mission

The specific and primary purposes for which this corporation is formed are to assist, promote, advance, and develop the historical, scientific, educational, and cultural aspects pertaining to the Riverside County, California, area parks.

As stated on its FY2021 Form 990-EZ.

Program

Program service accomplishments for 2021 were severely limited because of the ongoing pandemic. Only three programs were presented that fall under the primary mission of the organization, Trail of the Acorn, the Wildflower Show, and the Newsletter which includes educational articles. These account for 18% of overall expenses. The bulk of the expenses, 54%, was in funding park improvements as well as miscellaneous office expenses for the Nature Center. In support of the cooperative agreement with the County of Riverside, these were the interpretive panel for the birding deck, bearproof trash cans, a water fountain with pet access, and a water tank to supply water for the proposed pond project.

The first program described on its most recent Form 990-EZ.

Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
