What FOX VALLEY ACADEMY OF MUSIC PERFORMANCE The Fox Valley Acadeny of Music Performance does
Mission
Our Organization's Primary Exempt Purpose has been to provide for free admission public audience-friendly symphonic music concert performances in Illinois' Fox Valley area communities, that also provides orchestral ensemble experience for talented adult amateur and middle/high school student musicians, and supply insights into developing concert audience members' active mindful listening skills that can significantly enhance their experience of music.
As stated on its FY2022 Form 990-EZ.
Programs
Normally, a 45-member adult symphony orchestra and several smaller sized music chamber ensembles typically provide five free admission public community annual concert performances for approximately 250+ average-sized audiences. However, during our Fiscal Year 2021-22, this typical yearly service accomplishment was shut down to comply with the second full year of general Illinois & specific local Chicago area community Covid-19 strict restrictions that still precluded large group gatherings, especially orchestra/band rehearsals and concert performances as well as audiences unable to social distance. While there were no expenses during this program service hiatus, likewise it didn't generate any revenue. The cancellation of public concert performances created a complete loss of revenue that typically comes from free-will audience concert donations received and the printed concert program advertisement space purchased by area businesses/merchants. The amount of revenue derived from these sources is evidence of the degree of community financial support needed for determining the size of grant awards and in our case, no grant funds were awarded.
$0 spentNormally, our adult symphony orchestra concert performances have increasingly provided for focusing on developing active audience musical listening skills with carefully chosen variety of shorter, truncated "audience-friendly" classical music selections. Enlisting relevant "down-to-earth" layperson explanations, analysis, analogies, presentations, graphic/aural demonstrations that provide not only insights into the music selections being performed in the concert; but instead of seeking for music "out there" (by what is actually external physical sonic waves stimuli) provided by the orchestra's instruments, it is more aesthetically productive to have concert audiences to understand: {a) what to actively listen for and (b) how to learn to focus on one's mindful awareness of the neural mental processing by one's brain's inner experience of its sensory perceptions, cognitive comprehension, and intellectual & emotive expression. That's where to seek the music. However, with the Covid-19 shutdown for Fiscal Year's 2021-22 entire adult orchestra concert performance season, this active audience listening skills development successful program (audience surveys evidenced reasonable…
$0 spentNormally, provides two youth orchestra ensemble experience: one a string orchestra ensemble for middle school aged 2nd-year student musicians and the other a full symphony orchestra (with strings, winds, & percussion instrumentation) for talented high school student musicians. The middle school string orchestra ensemble usually recruits 15 to 25 students and the high school typically contains a membership range between 30 to 40 teenage musicians. The program introduces age-appropriate quality challenging music repertoire in preparation during rehearsals for the experience of performing in four public concerts in front of maybe 50 to 70 person audiences primarily comprised of family, friends, and neighbors. The rehearsals are educational with the focus on development of technical skills, general musicianship, and coordinated ensemble teamwork. Like all the other previously described program services, the entire nine-month FY201-22 youth program was shutdown by Covid-19 restrictions regarding to group gatherings. Consequently, Consequently, its cancellation eliminated any program expenditure as well as the revue from student tuition fees and music education foundation grant awards.

Who funds it, year by year
Grant support over time, funder by funder — shade shows the grant size each year.
1 of 1 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

Where its funders are
100% of FOX VALLEY ACADEMY OF MUSIC PERFORMANCE The Fox Valley Acadeny of Music Performance's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.
Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $6k arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been.
