01What it does

What Fellowship of Christian Cowboys Inc does

Mission

Our purpose is to present to cowboys and all whom they influence the good news of jesus christ and the adventure of receiving him as savior and lord. Our vision is to bring cowboys and all those who enjoy the western lifestyle together and to support them in impacting their communities for the kingdom of god.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990.

Programs

  1. Cowboy church services: because of the lifestyle of the competing rodeo cowboy, many are not able to attend a home church. Therefore, it was the desire of the founders of fcc that church would be brought to the arena. Fcc sponsors church services throughout the us, including the national little britches rodeo finals, wrangler national finals rodeo, denver western stock show, houston livestock and rodeo, cheyenne frontier days, national high school finals rodeo, and national jr. High school finals rodeo, as well as many smaller community events.

  2. Rodeo bible camps ("rbc's"): fcc is dedicated to providing an atmosphere for young people to develop their people skills, rodeo skills, and life skills. Rbc's are a unique blend of biblical teaching and rodeo instruction. The camps were designed to create a generation of young people who are committed to jesus christ and to reaching their peers. There are 17 chapters hosting rbc's with approximately 1,250 young people attending.

The 2 programs described on its FY2025 Form 990, listed largest first by expense. Program spending in total: $130,472.

Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.

1 of 4 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 0% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of FELLOWSHIP OF CHRISTIAN COWBOYS INC’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

How concentrated its funding is

FELLOWSHIP OF CHRISTIAN COWBOYS INC leans on a few funders — its largest provides 97% of grant income and the top three 100%; half comes from just 1 funder.

the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 1 funder to its left

97% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund FELLOWSHIP OF CHRISTIAN COWBOYS INC.

“Effective funders” = inverse Herfindahl index (1 / Σ shareᵢ²) — the number of equal-sized funders that would give the same concentration. Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $459 arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
