Bicycle events: Cycle Oregon Foundation hosts exceptional experiences through riding bicycles, where participants create community around a cause that changes lives by bringing the joy of riding a bicycle to all. Cycle oregon's fully-supported events showcase rural oregon communities and the state's varied and stunning geography, instilling a sense of belonging and commonality and helping to bridge divides. In 2025 we hosted 3 multi-day events, bringing thousands of participants along to experience the columbia gorge, the oregon coast and central/southern oregon and their communities. Cycle oregon awards stipends to groups and communities that assist in our events, helping to provide economic impact for many under-resourced areas.

One of the ways we support this is through our bicycle safety and education programming. Cycle oregon delivers a safe routes to school curriculum called jump start in schools in primarily rural communities all across oregon. Since its inception in 2022 this 'train the trainer' program has been delivered free of charge to over 70 schools, 51 of which were title 1, serving over 20,000 youth using a fleet of over 450 bikes including a full adaptive fleet. Using our three curriculum - learn to ride, bike education and safety, and adaptive bike education - and our fleet of bikes, we work to lower the barriers to access for youth in their early development age, helping to reverse the trend of fewer kids riding bikes while giving them the tools they need to ride safely, gain independence and help create lifelong healthy habits.

With the proper programmatic support and resources, we believe everyone can experience the joyful sense of adventure when bicycling is a part of everyday life, creating a bridge for a stronger, healthier and more inclusive society. We award scholarships to lower barriers to all of our programs and events. We provide summer bike camps for youth ages 6-12, where young riders build confidence, independence and essential bike safety skills while exploring their surroundings on two wheels in a fun and community building environment. We provide free bikes, helmets and accessories to under-resourced communities where kids and families have more barriers to accessing the joy of riding a bicycle. We host a community bike block party where dozens of bicycling adjacent groups and nonprofits gather together to build community with hundreds of attendees, providing free helmets and bikes, bike fun activities, and an…

Who funds it, year by year
Grant support over time, funder by funder — shade shows the grant size each year.
1 of 1 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.
Left out of every figure on this page: $273k from one payer (the payer shares this organization's board, largest Cycle Oregon Inc). These are real filings, and they are not money CYCLE OREGON FOUNDATION raised.
From the IRS filings of CYCLE OREGON FOUNDATION’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
Where its funders are
100% of CYCLE OREGON FOUNDATION's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.
Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $416k arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
