Program
Since 1972, community nashville (formerly nccj) has been dedicated to building a middle tennessee community that does not tolerate bias, bigotry, or racism. We are best known for our barrier breaking youth diversity leadership programs called building bridges. Community nashville also advocates for and raises awareness of issues of bias, bigotry and racism and threats to human rights in the region.building bridges:funding would support community nashville's building bridges programs, offering diversity education for young adults. Administered through a partnership with the oasis center, building bridges consists primarily of multi-day residential camps ranging from two to five days, including camp anytown conducted each summer. The camps and programs educate youth about the root causes of prejudice, inspiring them to face their own feelings and opinions while learning to respect and understand others. Building bridges also includes the youth advisory council, a year-long group of young adults who help plan and implement the camps as well as work with other organizations and events, like the annual martin luther king day celebration.results:during 2017 year, more than 150 youth…
