01What it does

What Climbing Resource Access Group of Vermont Inc does

Mission

CRAG-VT is a non-profit dedicated to preserving and protecting Vermont climbing. Our work spans from securing access to cliffs, serving climbers and stakeholders as an educational resource, and helping to nurture a responsible and strong climbing community in Vermont.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990-EZ.

Programs

  1. We made major improvements to the Black Mountain and Bolton Dome access trails including permanent steps and trail stabilization.

    $0 spent
  2. We put on a festival that serves all aspects of our mission as an organization. It includes community building, stewardship activities, climber education, expanding climbing access to affinity groups, and climbing in general. Over 300 people attend every year from all over the Northeast US and Canada

    $0 spent
  3. Bolton Parking Win: After summer floods eliminated roadside parking, CRAG-VT worked with the Town of Bolton to regrade space for 6 to 10 cars along Notch Road, improving access to Upper West. Community support also helps CRAG keep the Quarry Road plowed throughout the winter and maintain the leased parking area at Bolton Dome, ensuring continued access for climbers.

1 of 1 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of CLIMBING RESOURCE ACCESS GROUP OF VERMONT INC’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

Where its funders are

100% of CLIMBING RESOURCE ACCESS GROUP OF VERMONT INC's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $112 arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
