01What it does

What Climate Advisers Trust does

Mission

Climate Advisers Trust (the organization) works to raise climate ambition through sensible climate solutions that create jobs, improve living standards and address pressing social challenges.

As stated on its FY2024 Form 990-EZ.

Program

  1. Climate Advisers Trust prepared and publicly disseminated the forest events tracker. This web-based platform, developed with the pro bono support of the communications team at climate advisers inc., consolidated forest and nature-related events at major climate milestones such as new york climate week and the conference of the parties to the un framework convention on climate change (unfccc). The tracker served as a free and public resource to facilitate global participation and influence in discussions on forests as solutions to climate change. The organization curated a publicly accessible database of over 350 events during the 29th unfccc meeting and provided event credentials to the climate advisers inc. Team to support the tracker initiative.

From the IRS filings of CLIMATE ADVISERS TRUST’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

How concentrated its funding is

CLIMATE ADVISERS TRUST leans on a few funders — its largest provides 62% of grant income and the top three 92%; half comes from just 1 funder.

the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 1 funder to its left

92% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund CLIMATE ADVISERS TRUST.
