What Christian Education Activities Corp does
Mission
Stark college and seminary (scs) is a theological higher education institution teaching certificate, diploma, bachelor, and graduate level college courses to train men and women for service in the local church and community.
As stated on its FY2025 Form 990.
Program
Stark college and seminary (scs) is an accredited baptist college that exists to equip educationally under-served followers of christ for service in the church and community. We define the educationally underserved as those students who typically have not had the will or the way to pursue theological education due to their age, gender, ethnicity, finances, and bureaucratic hurdles that marginalize these particular students. The college developed programs intended to prepare ministry leaders to effectively witness, plant churches, disciple, and assist in church growth. (continued on schedule o)many students enrolled at scs are either presently serving in ministry or preparing to serve in ministry. Among graduates of stark college and seminary, 64% of those with a certificate in ministry, 100% of those with a diploma in ministry, 80% of those with a bachelor of arts in ministry, and 88% of those with a master of arts in ministry are employed in a ministry setting. Scs offers five programs to accomplish its mission and enhance the work our students are already doing in their ministry settings: the certificate in ministry, the diploma in ministry, the bachelor in ministry, the master…

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2017, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2017, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended. The shaded band is where the middle 50% of its peers' revenue would sit, given their growth.
Balance sheet
Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2018 to 2019, from $9.1M to $5.9M (−35%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
Government-grant reliance: 2020 12%. Grants only. Government contracts and fees sit inside program revenue.
30% of CHRISTIAN EDUCATION ACTIVITIES CORP’s revenue is contributions — about as donation-reliant as the typical peer (48% for the typical peer).

Who funds it, year by year
Grant support over time, funder by funder — shade shows the grant size each year.
1 of 1 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.
Left out of every figure on this page: $1.1M from one payer (the payer shares this organization's board, largest Hand and Dove Legacy Foundation). These are real filings, and they are not money CHRISTIAN EDUCATION ACTIVITIES CORP raised.
From the IRS filings of CHRISTIAN EDUCATION ACTIVITIES CORP’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
Where its funders are
100% of CHRISTIAN EDUCATION ACTIVITIES CORP's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.
Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $50k arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
