What Casa Bethesda does
Mission
Casa Bethesda is established to provide a stable Christian home and education to at risk children and youth where they can grow to become strong Christian leaders. As an integral part of the community, our home teaches by Christ's example in loving our neighbor. We extend love to those around us by meeting the basic needs of marginalized people, providing assistance with food, shelter, education, healthcare, and disaster relief. We offer family assistance to the children in our home, as well as provide outreaches in the form of community development projects and other humanitarian aid as specific needs are identified.
As stated on its FY2025 Form 990-EZ.
Program
In 2025, Casa Bethesda gave employment to more than 20 people thus enabling them to feed and provide for their families. Honduras is one of the poorest nations in the Western Hemisphere and particularly our location is rural and remote and job opportunities are few. We fed, housed, provided education and spiritual leadership full time to 6 girls ranging in age from 3-19. 5 of these girls were baptized by a visiting Pastor this past year. Additionally our home was a place to recuperate for children and their families from outside the area that needed medical care. Workers' children as well as neighborhood children utilize and enjoy Casa Bethesda as a safe space to roam hills, enjoy jungle treks, and have a hot meal. We regularly provided food, clothing, school supplies, to the poorest families in our area as well as families in the large city nearby that live along the garbage dump. Casa Bethesda also helped various people in paying for medical care and surgeries. One particular surgery for a young man literally saved his life. Without the help of Casa Bethesda, surgery for a bone that was continually growing in his head meant death would not have been possible. His eyesight,…

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2020, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2020, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended. The shaded band is where the middle 50% of its peers' revenue would sit, given their growth.
Balance sheet
Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2020 to 2021, from $122k to $168k (+37%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
100% of CASA BETHESDA’s revenue is contributions — more reliant on donations than three-quarters of its peers (100% for the typical peer).

Who funds it, year by year
2020 → 2023: the base held at 1 funder, grant income fell $62 → $42.
1 of 1 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.
From the IRS filings of CASA BETHESDA’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
Where its funders are
100% of CASA BETHESDA's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.
Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $248 arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
