What Carmel High School Ovation Inc does
Mission
Ovation is a parent support group for the carmel high school ("chs") choral department. The chs choral directors serve as chairs of the organization. Ovation plays a key role in providing financial and volunteer support to the chs choral directors in their efforts to teach the students to aspire to musical excellence, develop teamwork skills and grow as individuals. The mission and purpose of ovation is to support the chs choral department through fundraising activities and donations of time, talent and treasure.
As stated on its FY2025 Form 990.
Programs
Choreography, musical arrangements, costume expenses, clinician and instrumentalist fees, music licenses, equipment use and other support benefiting all students participating in the chs choral program. During the 2024-25 school year, more than 400 students participated in the program.

In the ninth year of the camp, 260 students in grades 5-9 participated in a week long program focusing on musical development and choreography. Each group worked with a professional choreographer and a professional choral director to learn a set of music, which was then presented at the end of the week to the community. Currect chs students serve as counselors for the proram. The camp helps connect the middle and high school students and prepares them for their future years at chs.

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2017, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2017, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended. The shaded band is where the middle 50% of its peers' revenue would sit, given their growth.
Balance sheet
Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2022 to 2023, from $91k to $161k (+77%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.

In-state vs out-of-state, by year
Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $2k arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been.
