01What it does

What Buddys Rescue Inc does

Mission

Animal rescue, supporting dogs, cats, wildlife & low income families.

As stated on its FY2021 Form 990-EZ.

Program

Heart worm initiative 2021 continued - we have taken in dogs with heart worm (parasites infect the heart) which is a medical condition that needs immediate care or the animal will die. Other rescues & shelters do not treat heartworm as it is very costly & rigorous treatment. Buddys started puling dogs from shelters with heartworm that no other organizations would take & treating them & placing them in homes. We proceeded to the next step of this project to assist with low income homes that had heartworm positive dogs that were unable to afford trreatment, so we handled the treatment for these families at no cost to them. We also would provide access to vaccinations if they needed and couldn't afford. We serviced about 52 dogs from shelters & streets in 2021 & 48 low income families. Our treatment is about 3 to 4 months long until the dog is cured. The cost of the treatment varies dependent to the dogs condition but ranges from $500-$2000 per dog.

The first program described on its most recent Form 990-EZ.

Each line starts at 100 in 2020, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2020, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended. The shaded band is where the middle 50% of its peers' revenue would sit, given their growth.

Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
