01What it does

What Bethlehem House Foundation Inc does

Mission

Bethlehem House Foundation, Inc. provides spiritual supports and faith experiences for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities who live in congregate residential settings in DC and Maryland. We have a partnership with a local Best Buddies organization who join us in our activities when school is in session during the fall and spring semesters. We host a Catholic Mass offered at a nearby venue followed by a dinner for the community---residents of the group homes, their direct support staff and the Best Buddies. The meal is offered for free. And the Foundation also organizes weekend events for our community, such as socials, going to movies, etc. This sometimes involves paying for transportation, food, and the cost of the event such as movie tickets. These residents and others with disabilities have very limited income, so the Foundation has hosted these events for free. Total cost of program expenses 2022: $8583

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990-EZ.

Programs

  1. We provided 30 weekly events- Mass and dinners- for 8-12 adults with disabilities along with another 15 others--staff, families, friends and student Best Buddies. This year, we began offering weekend events for our group plus about 6-10 adults with disabilities who prefer not to go out at night, for a total of 20 -25 attendees. We provided 20 of these additional events from September through December.

1 of 1 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of BETHLEHEM HOUSE FOUNDATION INC’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

Where its funders are

100% of BETHLEHEM HOUSE FOUNDATION INC's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $6k arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
