What Bay Area Center for Faith Work and Tech does
Mission
Cultivating faith and work integration in the bay area to transform people who are transforming the world
As stated on its FY2024 Form 990.
Programs
Missional vocational pathway and church programs: our flagship program is a nine-month holistic deep dive discipleship journey combining biblical and theological instruction, spiritual practices, cohort based formation, and practical application. In addition to extensive faith and work topics, it addresses the bay area's specific hostility toward christianity, the pervasive role of technology in every company around here, and the diverse socio-economic dynamics of a place where 100 different languages are spoken at home. Mvp is designed from the bay area, targeted for the bay area and led in the bay area.

God brought together nearly 400 believers to ask, "how can we integrate our faith & work to transform the world?" the connections, the inspirational stories, the encouragement of brother and sisters was overwhelmingly what we need to catalyze this moment and move forward. We came together to join a new movement for advancing god's kingdom through the integration of faith, work and technology. In the san francisco bay area, we have a unique opportunity to shape culture and communities on a golobal scale. The products, ideas and trends that we export affect virtually every person on the planet. When christians are able to integrate their faith into their professional work, we can influence company cultures toward kingdom principles, design products to enhance our humanity instead of diminish it, and encourage silicon valley toward an ethos that values purpose over profit. But we can't do it alone. Now more than ever, we need eath other. Together we will help you to gain a vision for how your faith can transform your work and build connections to other people and organizations on the same journey.

Who funds it, year by year
Grant support over time, funder by funder — shade shows the grant size each year.
4 of 4 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
How concentrated its funding is
BAY AREA CENTER FOR FAITH WORK AND TECH leans on a few funders — its largest provides 56% of grant income and the top three 97%; half comes from just 1 funder.
the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 1 funder to its left
100% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund BAY AREA CENTER FOR FAITH WORK AND TECH.
“Effective funders” = inverse Herfindahl index (1 / Σ shareᵢ²) — the number of equal-sized funders that would give the same concentration. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
Where its funders are
100% of BAY AREA CENTER FOR FAITH WORK AND TECH's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.
Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $165k arriving through sponsors registered in 4 states is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been.
